Tatizo linalowakumba mabalozi wetu walioko kule na The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
  • 4 Oct 2018 in National Assembly: Mhe.

  • 16 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I want to start by congratulating the head of the 2018 delegation to the 62nd Session of the Commission on Status of Women conference at the United Nations in New York. Human rights are women rights and women rights are human rights. You cannot separate the two. You can only look at them and read about them from the same page. I call upon my colleagues to embrace the fact that if women are not empowered then, certainly, the whole country will be lagging behind in terms of development and decision- making. So, I ... view
  • 16 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: worry when part of school fees is not paid. Mothers run around to deal with that. This is something that has really worked very well for the women in this country. I also want to celebrate our Deputy President because, being the principal assistant to the President, it was not going to be realised and implemented fully if he had not given support and agreed with what the President set out to do. I celebrate him. I celebrate the two of them. More so, for making sure that our party has quite a number of women elected to this House ... view
  • 16 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: He is one of the people who are the forefront of gender sensitivity. He is among the people who have really tried to embrace women in leadership. He ranks amongst some of the top men in this country who have embraced women without hiding behind the scenes; men who know that it is important to have women at decision- making levels. With those few remarks, I will also celebrate my colleagues who are gender sensitive. Thank you very much. I support this Report and the calls to action. view
  • 15 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to that of my colleagues and more so, to congratulate Hon. Machogu and his team for a job well-done. They have shared the Report with the Commission. We have moved towards making sure that some of these things are realised. When you look at this Report, it is such a well done one. It flags out all the issues concerning Members’ and our staff welfare. We are willing. All willpower is there. We will put all our effort towards the direction of making sure these ... view
