First, the incident took place at Loruko and not “Holuku”. Secondly, he should also know that the people who were killed were a woman and a 16-year old boy. Does he expect a 16-year old boy or a woman to hold guns? Could the Assistant Minister explain that? view

  • 26 Nov 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security. On 21st November, 2009, at around 4.00 a.m. police officers surrounded a village at Holuko in Isiolo North District and indiscriminately shot and harmed villages, leading to the death of a woman and a 16-year old boy, and injured others. In that Ministerial Statement, I would like the Minister to clarify the following:- (a) what was the mission of the officers and who gave the shooting orders; (b) why the police abandoned the dead and the injured persons, ... view
