  • 1 Mar 2023 in National Assembly: Asante sana, Mhe.
  • 16 Feb 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to the ongoing debate on the Memorandum from the President. In that Memorandum, there were about four issues. One of them is the NG-CDF and NGAAF. This issue has been here for a long time. We have debated a lot and we even had a caucus that was dealing with it. I remember when we went to Mombasa for two days, we did not do anything because we were trying to force the National Treasury to put money into our accounts. Anchoring it in the Constitution ... view
  • 16 Feb 2023 in National Assembly: will keep on haunting us. Until we address this issue, then we will not have moved away from it. I stand to support the Memorandum. view
  • 16 Feb 2023 in National Assembly: So, I end by saying that I support. I would like to urge the learned lawyers in this House to have experts who can sit and give us a solution on the two-thirds gender rule. We cannot run away from it. As women, we will always talk about it and we will all be here to contribute. We want to make sure that there is an affirmative fund that will be set aside to empower women so that they can also run for offices. view
  • 16 Feb 2023 in National Assembly: On the facilitation of the Senate for them to perform their oversight role, I support. There is no way we can think that there is oversight happening when the Senators are not facilitated to ensure that the funds that go to the counties are used in the way they are budgeted for, and that the communities are benefiting. For that reason, I support. view

  • 8 Dec 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to this Motion. I support it because when we have regulations in place, we will use them as a monitoring tool to know where we are and where we want to go. We will also use them to monitor the resources that have been used in these projects. I support. Thank you. view
  • 23 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to this issue of land. First, we need to look at land because it is a sensitive issue especially for those of us who come from communities that own huge chunks of land. We cannot say that that land is idle, it is not. I own huge pieces of land. I came here because I was able to sell the animals that I take care of. They graze on that land. I sold those animals and made money that enabled me to come to this House. ... view
  • 26 Oct 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me time to contribute to this Motion on Review of Teachers Deployment Policy. I want to speak on this delocalisation because it affects our teachers and schools. Education is an important aspect in the development of our country. Teachers play an important role in our education sector and in the handling of our children. I support the Motion on Review of Teachers Deployment Policy. I emphasise that delocalisation impacts negatively on the performance of our teachers. It affects teachers because it removes them from their comfort zone and takes them to where they ... view
