  • 25 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Chairman. It is No. 36. I rise to support this amendment. The Committee had told us earlier that money for water was scattered all over in different departments. That obviously could have led to a possible double funding and money being lost. This is a brilliant idea. I support. view

  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I congratulate the new Leader of the Majority Party. Many people do not know that Hon. Duale and I went to Moi Forces Academy. We were classmates for two years in Forms 5 and 6. The passion that people see in Hon. Duale today did not start when he became a Member of Parliament. When we were in school, we had debating clubs. One person tried to make a joke one day and said something about a malnourished Member for North Eastern. There was almost hell to pay because Hon. Aden Duale debated throughout that ... view
  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: He is one of those very humorous people. He said that he went to Moi Forces Academy because his grandfather was the chief of general staff. He went there to look for Mohamed’s daughter. He came out of there with a wife. I came out of there… view
  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: This is a great man who has done a great job for this nation. We congratulate him for the work that he had done. We respect him for that. view

  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I have heard my good friend, the Hon. Pukose say “ Asante ya punda ”. Is that not derogatory considering that he is talking about his own party leader? view
  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I support the amendment because it is zero-rating the price of unga . The intention is to help Kenyans by lowering the price of maize flour during this period of the pandemic. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: I think there has been a lot of misinformation because we are giving a period of six months. The fact is that within this period we will make a decision in this House. This is because after six months the House can make a decision on every Bill we pass. So, I think this is a good idea. We have six months to observe and then we can make a decision at that point. I support. view
  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I was also here in the morning. Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah’s argument was only on Section 156 (1). He gave a very passionate statement about it. He has now picked the whole Report that was brought by the Chairman and changed something else. He has just added penalties at the bottom. I see mischief and I oppose the amendment. view
