  • 2 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, most obliged. Could the Question be directed to the Minister for Trade rather than the Minister for Finance? view
  • 2 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister is aware that a few years ago, milk was poured down and as a result the country was cursed, according to the African tradition. Today, the Minister is saying that they have no capacity and yet again, we may find milk split into ----I am surprised it has taken two years. Why does the Minister say he has no capacity? Is he aware that the country will be cursed once again if we dispose of milk in that manner? view
  • 2 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is the Assistant Minister in order to inform us that there is nobody to speak Arabic? We have a High Commissioner in Saudi, who speaks Arabic. The members of the Embassy speak Arabic. I have never found a more co-operative and helpful embassy and Ambassador like the one in Saudi. It is quite clear he has not got the Saudi Ambassador to give him the information. They speak Arabic. Is he in order to say that he is waiting for a junior officer who speaks Arabic? view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, earlier on the Attorney-General made a very good statement that there are no exceptions and the Government will give no exceptions. Is the Attorney-General not aware they gave a specific exception in respect of another Member of Parliament for whom an arrest of warrant was already issued and he was to go to court? An exception was made that he makes an apology instead. Could the Attorney- General tell us for a fact that in this case no exceptions will be made? view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Yes, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in addition to what my brother has stated, I would like the Minister to tell us why the Provincial Administration is showing partiality towards one group and has selectively arrested members of the second group--- view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in his response, could the Minister kindly inform the House why the Provincial Administration is exercising partiality by selectively arresting members of one group and not the other? In respect of the group called “China Group”, why is the Provincial Administration taking instructions from one Anyango Oloo who is in Nairobi? view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am a little bit concerned at the speed at which this is going. However, in the interest of speed or reaction to justice, I will go along with it. The only thing I can say is that this Commission is basically a little puppy, and makes noise and what we needed was a something that can bite. Earlier on this afternoon, the Attorney-General told us that there was a case that was withdrawn by this Commission, but when I talked to them, they said they had withdrawn no such a case. I will be ... view
  • 25 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. The issue of injury was brought up earlier and the Speaker at the time ruled that the proof of injury must be provided and that would not jeopardize the case at all. However, I can see up to now the proof of that injury has not been provided. view
  • 25 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Committee. I would like to say at this moment in time that it is urgent that the two principals approve these names. The police force is the most misused service in this country. The police officers are waiting for the pay review that was promised to them and there is nothing that is being heard right now. If the police start a go-slow strike, you will tell them that they have not been doing their job. They need the ... view
