  • 17 Nov 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in view of what the Minister has said that I read through the documents and then ask questions later, would I be in order to request you to defer this Question so that we can read through the documents and consult the hon. Member for Tigania East and the Chairman of CDF? This is a matter where an accounts manager did not consult the Chairman of the CDF Committee. The Chairman of CDF Committee, Tigania East, requested me to ask this Question because this money has never been accounted for. The equipment was never bought! view
  • 11 Nov 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Development of Northern Kenya and Other Arid Lands:- (a) whether he could consider placing Buuri District under the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) Development Programme; and, (b) whether the Government could also consider gazetting the district as a hardship area for civil servants and teachers working in the district and pay them hardship allowances. view

Could the Assistant Minister consider the very hardship areas, in Rwareira Division, and classify them as ... view

  • 10 Nov 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) if he is aware that one Mr. Muchiri, the District Land Adjudication Officer from Meru North District, who was given Kshs500,000 by Tigania East CDF Committee in August 2008, to buy equipment for use in land adjudication in Tigania East Constituency, was later transferred to another district but is yet to account for the funds to the Tigania East CDF Committee; and, (b) what disciplinary action he has taken against the officer and to ensure that the money is returned to Tigania East CDF account. view
  • 16 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, my correct name is Silas Ruteere. view
  • 15 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Task Force Report to be tabled without Annexes I to VIII which have been tabled this afternoon and yet hon. Members are expected to read them and make an informed opinion? These annexes run up to 200 pages. Is it in order for us to continue with this debate at this time? view
  • 15 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: No, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 8 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, sir, is it enough to have teachers in the classrooms and assume that there is learning? view
