  • 28 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Does it mean that there are no qualified drivers in Imenti North District, to be employed in the area? view
  • 28 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, before the three weeks are over, what will be happening at the Ruiri Health Centre? view
  • 14 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like the Assistant Minister to tell us what he is doing right now. That is because roads are becoming impassable even near towns and people cannot access their estates. The roads are in very poor conditions. There are trenches and gulleys that have formed on those roads. They have been ignored for a long time, especially in my Imenti North Constituency where people cannot go to Gitimbine Market. view
  • 14 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also stand here to speak about local authorities. I am concerned that, as it has been said, the distribution of resources does not meet the expectations of our people. • 9 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Education:- (a) whether he could state the number of teachers in primary and secondary schools in Imenti North District respectively, as well as the level of understaffing in each category; and, (b) what he is doing to provide schools with adequate number of teachers. view
  • 9 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has tried to give figures of teachers. The statistics are there. My question is: Is he aware that the understaffing of 223 teachers is distributed in Buuri and Timau divisions causing some of the classes to have one or two teachers; and that the distribution of understaffing in secondary schools is mainly in day secondary schools, which should be encouraged by posting more teachers to those schools? Why has he found it necessary to give statistics for February when we are in October? view
  • 9 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has not told me why it is necessary for him to give statistics for February when we are in October. When he employs 35 teachers and 50 teachers retire, is that an increase or decrease in the number of teachers? view
  • 7 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, is the Assistant Minister aware that the accounting officer of any school is the principal, and the chairman of the BOG and his members have no role to play in the actual auditing of the books, because they do not submit books to the auditors? It is the principals who submit the books to the auditors. When there is an overlap of the years--- view
  • 7 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 7 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: On a point or order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I am sure he is not giving us the details of the squatters. He is giving us the number of squatters settled! view
