It says: “If two or more candidates for President are nominated, an election shall be held in each Constituency.” That is the point I wanted to make very clear to him. So far, the Ministry, through the Principal Secretary (PS), has not communicated to tell us the position with regards to EPZs employees. However, that response is not the responsibility of the Chairman or the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare; it rests with the Ministry of East African Community, Labour and Social Protection to respond. The Committee only forwards the question as it stands in Article 125 of the Constitution. However, it does not charge the responsibility to summon to the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare; it is the Senate to do so.
