  • 10 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Minister for promising that Machakos–Katumaini Road will be repaired in the next three months. However, I want to ask him to take this project seriously because the road is in a pathetic state. I want to further ask the Minister to talk about Mwania Bridge, along that section of the road, which is very narrow, and where many accidents have taken place. I remember that in 2008, the Minister for Roads then said that the Government would look into financing it, so that it could be expanded. view
  • 3 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. The Member for Machakos Town Constituency has no knowledge of the dam earth known as Nzambani. There was no such dam undertaken under Kazi Kwa Vijana Programme. I can confirm that. view
  • 3 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for declaring that the two stadiums are not banned for football matches. The disaster occurred because of the disorganization by the management of those events. I would like to seek clarification on whether the Ministry is really in charge. In the past we have seen busy bodies like the Football Kenya Ltd. (FKL) giving orders and ultimatums. We have even seen other quarters hiring the coach of the national team, Harambee Stars. Is the Ministry really in charge? view
  • 28 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would like to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports on, first, the circumstances under which football fans died and others got injured as they waited to enter Nyayo National Stadium to watch the match between Gor Mahia and AFC leopards last Saturday. Secondly, could he also state what plans the Ministry has to assist the victims with burial expenses and treatment for the injured? Thirdly, in the Ministerial Statement, could he state the Government position towards the recent ban by Football Kenya Limited (FKL) ... view
  • 26 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, now that the Assistant Minister has confirmed that farmers have enough seeds, could the Government give us the programme of how it is going to assist farmers who cannot afford to buy seeds, so that they can plant, especially in the lower Eastern region, where we have many poor farmers? view
  • 17 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to ask the Assistant Minister what specific social corporate responsibility programme TARDA has undertaken so that the community of Masinga can benefit. view
  • 10 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, sometime in 2008, the Assistant Minister said that Kenya had a shortage of veterinary professionals of 1,700. What has the Ministry done to reduce this shortage? view
  • 1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I beg to second the proposed amendment by Dr. Eseli. view
  • 1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, many corrupt Kenyans are enjoying their fruits of corruption because the KACC has got no teeth to bite. We need to give KACC teeth to bite to be able to prosecute and recover stolen property. view
