  • 27 Feb 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Sessional Committee on Devolved Government concerning the daily use of a helicopter by County Executive Members of Bomet County while travelling within the county. Bomet is a very small county, geographically. This is a question which I am persistently asked by the citizens in Bomet. They need an answer from us regarding that. • 26 Feb 2014 in Senate: Thank you Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir for giving me this opportunity to make some contributions to this Report. First, I want to thank Members of this Committee for the Report they have laid in the House which gives us a hands-on feeling of what they experienced when they went out to assess the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) programmes. He had promised that the answer will be given in four weeks time as from 29th of October, 2013, when I requested for the Statement. To date, I have not received any reply. Thank you. view
  • 4 Dec 2013 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. First of all, I also wish to join my colleagues in thanking the Committee on Energy, Roads and Transportation, for the Report that they tabled in the House. Mr. Speaker, Sir, we do know that this is a very important sector in our country and economy which relies entirely on power. The worrying thing at the moment is that the cost of power in this country is excessive. I, therefore, want to thank this Committee for the Report that they have given us. I would also like to appreciate that Reports of this Senate, really ... view
