  • 3 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I was saying that we are in competition as a Republic with the rest of the world and that a commission like the TSC is a commission in which we can have a professional expert, respected and knowledgeable person literally from each county. Some people want to manoeuvre and play around with the House. Let us reject all the names and support this Commission. view
  • 24 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, let me begin by thanking the Chairperson, hon. Sabina Chege. for donating one minute to me. I appreciate and congratulate her. First, I wish to clarify that under Chapter 15, all the Commissioners serve for a six-year fixed term. So, it does not matter your age as long as you come in. • 6 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I am sure that the Leader of the Majority Party is aware that there is only one former Prime Minister living in this Republic and that, that former Prime Minister served under very unique circumstances. The post was created under the National Accord and Reconciliation Act and the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Act, 2008. Under those two pieces of legislation, he actually served as a co-principal with the former President, hon. Kibaki. Why is the Government refusing to recognize the unique position of hon. Raila Amolo Odinga as a former co-principal under special Acts of Parliament, so ... view

  • 5 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Yes, hon. Deputy Speaker. The hon. Member has misquoted the Bible and has grossly misled the House. It is the one talent that was buried and the five talents that multiplied. Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. view
