In reaction to this, I would have loved to see the President take definitive action to help our people in these areas. During the campaign period, the President spoke about a Marshall Plan. He also recorded economic pacts with various counties, including Tana River. In this country there has been a deliberate economic segregation of some areas. Sessional Papers have legitimized this economic segregation of areas such as the one I represent. view

It is our prayer and hope that resources will be made available, not to just save lives in the short term as has always been the case with previous administrations, but that resources will be made available to our counties to help in production so that hunger can be an issue of the past. view
