  • 23 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: We want a fresh start and people who will take this country to the next level. With that I do not need to comment further. On the issue of land, the starting point should be Article 67(2)(e); let us address historical injustices. Let the President come up with a policy on how we can address that. With regard to economic development, he said by the end of his term he will want to see double digit growth. We must target the economic mainstay of every region and its infrastructure, so that we can improve on the economy of this country. view
  • 10 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, as I support this very important Motion, I would like, first and foremost, to thank the people of Kajiado Central for having given me the second opportunity to represent them in this august House. I have been very privileged that when I came to this House, I was selected to be a Member of very important Committees of the House: The Committee on Constitution and now the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee (CIOC). Before that I had been privileged to be the chairperson of Amani Forum Kenya Chapter which dealt with the issues of peace. During ... view
  • 9 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand to support this very important Motion. Expanding JKIA is actually expanding our economy. This will enable us to do exports and imports. Therefore, this is a very important move by the KAA and guaranteed by the Government for this loan, so that this area of the economy can be expanded. We will have efficiency in tourism, trade, movement of goods and, especially our horticultural products. By expanding this airport, our farmers will be enabled to send their produce to destinations outside the country. So, I want to support this very important Motion. We ... view
  • 9 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Chairman, Sir, the hon. Keynan has got a great foresight as regards the motion of security and as far as intelligence is concerned. I totally agree that if we delete the Senate, then it follows quite logically that we delete this so that we can think properly. I want to request hon. Ethuro, that if you are going to the Senate, then move with this to the Senate because this is really what you are trying to do. So, we better have the country at heart and not personal interests. view
  • 3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir--- view
  • 3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand to support this very important Motion. There are certain highlights which the Minister needs to realize. First of all, I would like to thank the Minister for releasing the CDF funds. I was made to understand that the funds would reach the constituencies accounts today. If that is the case, the Minister will have my accolades. These Supplementary Estimates will enable the country to move forward. Therefore, they have come at the right time, although they were a bit delayed for obvious reasons. But today, we are able to debate and pass them so ... view
  • 3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is a very important thing, and I have to say it to Kenyans. view

  • 3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, first of all, I want to respond to hon. Ruto. I trained in the best institution in the world. I am an academy in the Military Academy Alumni. I am an alumnus of the United States of America Army War College, which is the best in the world. You can see that hon. Ruto is a local fellow from Kericho and he does not understand what is going on in the international arena! view
  • 3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was explaining what this Supplementary Estimates need to do, so that we can help this country move forward. However, I had to send a warning and explain to my people that it is important to realize the seriousness of this matter given that we live in a global village where international trade is involved and we are the heart of this region. So, we have to be extremely careful. The major problem is that we have a monster which will make the economy of this country go down. This is the message that I am ... view
