Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, it is said that no one single person has got the knowledge that would exceed all the others, but neither would all the others have the knowledge that would exclude that one. So, in my contribution---

Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, on the issue of what is required for security to be enhanced, I stated my opinion that, indeed, security in this country has got to be enhanced. This cannot be gainsaid. In every part of this country, everybody must feel free. That is my point. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I kindly request that my time be held to cover for the time I have been interrupted unnecessarily by the Senator for Machakos. I ask fellow Kenyans to remain calm. We can do two things: We can stand here and tell the truth or lies, but the truth will always set us free. We have been down this road before. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand by what I have said; that those two individuals were not the ones who were in charge of security. In telling the truth, we must not be angels in the day and become devils at night. We cannot be peacemakers at day time and war mongers at night. As long as we continue to drive this country down that road, then we have no country to take forward and we will lack the moral authority to say anything to our children. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the culprit in this problem that we are facing ...

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am a Kenyan like Sen. Muthama and watch television and listen to radio and every word that politicians say. Some of the utterances that have been made by elected leaders in this Senate in rallies are on record. Some of them have been making statements that they cannot dare repeat in this House. How on earth can we dance and jump from one side to the other saying “bomb, bomb?” Children are now making a joke out of the lives of Kenyans who have died in bomb blasts. How on earth can we be promising ...

Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to add my voice and concern to this very important Bill that has come to the Floor of this House. I want to begin by lauding the efforts of the Senate Majority Leader for having brought this Bill to the Floor of this House at this time. As we deliberate on this Motion, it is a matter of fact that the deaths that occurred in this country recently, attributed to consumption of alcohol rate amongst the biggest tragedies to befall this country in the recent past. I believe that ...
