asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) the circumstances under which a security officer shot and injured a 78-year-old woman, Mrs. Nomugien Lololemu, at Archerâs Post Trading Centre on 6th June, 2009; and, (b) the identity of the officer responsible for the shooting and whether the officer has been arrested for the crime.

Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I also have similar projects where the Authority promised to undertake, last financial year. But up to date these projects have not been implemented. What assurance does the Assistant Minister give to this House that these projects sponsored by the Authority will actually be implemented?

Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to support this Motion. I appreciate the efforts being made by the Minister and her officials to provide water to Kenyans. In particular, I thank the Minister for providing Samburu East with a water bowser. This is a drought-prone area. Since we do not have permanent rivers, we rely on pans and dams which dry up during the dry season. We experience hardships because of scarcity of water. The Minister has helped the community and schools in Samburu East which would have closed due to scarcity of water. ...
