After this Bill is passed, Members of Parliament will only play the oversight role. Members of this Board will be identified competitively. I have many cases of teachers in my constituency, both Mutomo and Ikutha sub- counties. They have been coming to my office asking me whether I can assist them in getting promoted. The promotion of a teacher should not be politically influenced. Someone should not know a Member of Parliament to get promoted.
