29 Feb 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, Kenyans passed this Constitution entirely and it was promulgated. If it is the reason of legislation, what is the Government going to do after we legislate, so that these people can be compensated for the loss? I believe we are working under this Constitution which guarantees consumer rights. The people of Ukambani were given poor seeds and that is why they did not harvest anything.

23 Feb 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, first of all, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for ordering the police to arrest the three council askaris who have been accused of causing the death of the victim. However, I want to disagree with him that there is no tension in Machakos Town. There have been two serious demonstrations which have actually brought business in Machakos Town to a standstill. So, I want him to be informed that there is a lot of tension because of this death.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, my interest is only to find out why the police had to book in this suspect when he had said that he had been injured and was unwell. Why did they have to book him in instead of taking him to hospital?

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I think the Minister knows that one of the reasons why the medical staff went on strike was the poor working conditions and lack of basic facilities. What is he doing to address this, apart from their allowances?

14 Dec 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to second this Report by the Departmental Committee. I support that sugar prices should be reduced so that Kenyans can afford. At the same time, we support the importation of duty-free sugar for the time being, so that we can allow sugar cane farms to develop, instead of the current situation where farmers are harvesting immature cane. That will save the sugar belt. Thank you very much. I second.

8 Dec 2011 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to ask the Assistant Minister whether he is actually aware that one of the major reasons as to why the doctors have gone on strike is poor facilities or lack of facilities that are necessary for them to save lives. Our doctors have actually watched helplessly as patients die, whereas the diseases killing them are actually treatable. Are we turning our doctors into undertakers, who handle bodies, instead of facilitating them to be able to save lives?

9 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, in fact, many dams that have been constructed in the country get silted after a short while. What steps is the Ministry taking to protect riparian and upstream areas to ensure that there are no activities which could lead to the siltation of the dams?
