  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I recommend that we give three minutes to each Member to make their contribution instead of five. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I rise to support the appointment of Major Twalib Abdallah Mbarak. Just as I realised in the Committee, his academic records are good. His employment records and integrity are also good. Generally, he meets the necessary qualifications. My question is contrary to what my colleagues have said. There is a trend in this country now to appoint members in senior positions from the military. I do not know whether we do not have other people who can be filling those positions and yet, we have a civilian Government that is ... view

The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only. Acertified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 5 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: I support this Motion and urge all Members to do the same. Let us pass it for the sake of our people and the generations to come. view
  • 22 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I support the proposed amendment by Hon. Shamalla. From the outset, we know that this Bill originated from the Senate and the Senate represents the counties. Sometimes we feel that counties do not have enough expertise. But what she has put in place is to empower the CECs at the Council so that they do not go out of line and stick to the rules and regulations. view
  • 22 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: I support the amendment. view
  • 20 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to ask Question No.183 to the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government. view
  • 20 Nov 2018 in National Assembly: (a) Could the Cabinet Secretary confirm that all National Police Reservists serving in the country have been receiving their remuneration, allowances, uniforms and training as required by the National Police Service Act? view
