  • 9 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Bw.
  • 9 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Bw. Kusema mlevu atawakilishwa. Akishawakilishwa--- view
  • 15 May 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity. First of all, I should commend the Committee on Finance, Commerce and Budget, which I am a Member of, for dealing with this difficult matter under difficult circumstances. I would not be wrong to inform this House that the last figure that we agreed on, as a Committee, was Kshs226 billion. I am sure that any attempts to divide this House, on this Bill, along party lines will be defeated as we will conclude by voting in support of this Bill. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, this House has always resolved issues ... view
  • 6 May 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Sen. Khaniri is misleading this House. We were on recess. The time we had the committee we were not on recess. But that time the Committee had a chairperson. This one does not have a chairperson. The reason you summoned--- view
  • 6 May 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a new committee. Therefore, the procedure needs to be followed. view
  • 11 Mar 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. How many minutes is a Senator allowed to cross the Floor before resuming his place? I think Sen. Murkomen has overstayed the other side. I do not know what he is doing that side for that long. view
  • 11 Mar 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. The point I raised was with regard to the Sen. Murkomen overstaying the other side of the House. I do not think--- view
  • 5 Mar 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, through my observation, I think it is the right time we summoned the Attorney-General to come and try to vet his wisdom in advising the President on assenting to Bills, because even the Attorney-General may not be understanding the whole concept of what is happening between the two Houses. So, I think we could be dealing with the wrong person. I think it is the right time we summoned him to come and tell this House why he has actually been advising the President wrongly to assent to Bills which are not supposed to be assented to. ... view
  • 4 Feb 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir.
  • 4 Dec 2013 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am seeking a clarification from the Chair of the relevant Committee, if they knew from the word go that there was some legal implication that required some amendments as far as the Education Act is concerned, I wonder why they went that far without going that route of amending the Education Act to give the headmasters or the school principals a free hand or allowing them to issue the certificates without necessarily asking for the money. I wonder why they went that far rather than going that route of first amending the Act. view
