Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity to support this Vote. I am delighted that the Budget that was read by the Minister for Finance was the best in this country. We have been crying, praying and asking that we have a Minister who will consider issues based on mwananchiâs interests. As I support this Vote, I want to congratulate him because, for the first time in this country, there will be money to construct a health facility in every constituency. We are no longer living on dreams. We are not dreaming about what the Government ...

Ahsante, Mhe.

Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I also rise to make my contribution on this very important Ministry. I would like to start my contribution by saying that it is important to note that industries in every country must have a starting point. The problem in Kenya and more so in Africa, is that we seem to want to run for the new technology being imported into our country. For example, an item is introduced to us

I want to start by saying that I am very much involved in this Ministry, because my business is regulated by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Looking at the Vote of the Ministry, there is no provision that caters for exploration of minerals in this country. Tanzania is building its economy through exploration of minerals. This is one area which the Government of Kenya has forgotten. It is high time the Government considered allocating more funds to this Ministry. The Ministry should assist small scale miners in terms of geological information and establishment of proper mining. By so ...

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also rise to support the Motion as amended. I want to start my contribution by entirely agreeing with the sentiments Mrs. Shabesh has made that âsmallâ people do not have rights to ownership of land in this country. It is true that the only people who are considered when it comes to land issuance are âbigâ people. These are people who own over 20,000 acres of land. None of the pieces of land that are owned by âbigâ people have ever been invaded by squatters. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also agree with ...

The Minister has given in details the most burning issues. Those are the issues that have been creating barriers in the operations of the Ministry. I want to support him; first of all, for the role he has been playing to improve the lives of Kenyans, especially the laying of infrastructure by the Ministry of Energy. I would like to support the establishment of the headquarters of the Ministry. It is extremely impossible for the Ministry to operate with scattered branches. For example, if you want to see the Ministry of Energy today, you will have to go to Nyayo ...

I would also like to congratulate the Minister and his staff for taking initiatives to install solar panels in remote areas of this country. They have done that in primary schools, secondary schools, dispensaries and health centres. The other day, I received a
