  • 26 Nov 2014 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this timely Motion brought by Sen. Billow. There is this monster called terrorism. It is tearing our country apart. It is also tearing the whole world apart. It is a pity that it seems to have found a soft landing place in our country. Many parts of the country have suffered. Innocent Kenyans have been invaded; they have lost lives and property. Most Kenyans are now confused as we have seen in Mandera and they do not know what to do next. They have packed their ... view
  • 19 Nov 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity. First and foremost, I wish to sincerely convey my heartfelt condolences to the late Sen. Gerald Otieno Kajwang’s family and friends. I received this message at around 6.00 a.m. This is because towards 12.00 a.m., I started receiving text messages and thought that they were the usual Safaricom messages. I was wondering why they were harassing me or which clients of mine they were. In the morning, I received a message from my brother, who is it at home in Siaya, saying:- “Poleni sana for losing Sen. • 2 Oct 2014 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, two weeks is short for the kind of report that they want. One month is quite reasonable unless they want me to come again and ask for more time. view
  • 30 Sep 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, if I heard Sen. Wamatangi correctly, he says we need to go to the ground and ascertain or evaluate the situation. I think we can do it within two weeks. He is a member of our committee. I am sure he will facilitate that and we can report back to the Senate after two weeks. We are also meeting the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. We did not succeed last time, but we are going to do so this week. I am sure that we will get all the response within two weeks. view
  • 30 Sep 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in as much as I have said that within two weeks, it does not necessarily mean that we will wait for two weeks. We can facilitate even earlier than that. We can be practical. We need to--- view
