  • 1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: With those few remarks, I beg to second. view
  • 31 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. I think it is very important for this House to demonstrate leadership. I know that we are lost in our emotions and any little time off will be time to sober up. Between now and tomorrow, I believe, most of us will have come back to their senses. It is possible, in the remotest sense, for us to salvage something. For that reason, we need time to debate whatever little we shall have salvaged. For that reason, I support this Motion. view
  • 30 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is aware that the Ministry of Education is consuming about 6.8 per cent of our Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In Uganda, the budget on education is about 5.2 per cent. In Kenya, secondary schools are all congested. What policy is there in the Ministry of Education to ensure that the students coming from primary schools into secondary schools have adequate infrastructure? view
  • 24 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister has contradicted the policy that was issued by the Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet. It talked of 25 per cent, but he is talking of 20 per cent. But be that as it may, my question is: At the climax of Kenyatta regime we had 35 per cent of the Permanent Secretaries (PSs) coming from Kikuyu community--- view
  • 24 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to withdraw that word unconditionally and apologise. view
  • 24 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, my question to the Minister is: He has conditioned his answer on the new Constitution. On the event that the new Constitution does not materialise, what steps has he put in place to ensure that in this country people get their equitable share in the Civil Service? view
  • 25 Feb 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I have heard the hon. Member talk about his party without naming it. Could he do the House a favour by describing the party that he is talking about? The arithmetic he is talking about, in my imagination does not tally with the party I presume he is talking about. view
  • 8 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of Order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise on a point of order to seek your direction. What the Assistant Minister is in the process of outlining or moving is a very important document for this country. I think it would be proper that we have a reasonable membership, particularly on the Government side so that we can move together on this matter. So, I would ask for the Chair’s direction. view
  • 8 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is no Quorum for this important business! view
  • 3 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, aware that the Attorney-General is a signatory to most of these contracts; further aware that he is the chief prosecutor, and, possibly, his privy to Kenya being signatory to certain treaties, could he clarify whether there is an extradition treaty between Kenya and the United States of America (USA)? view
