Si vyema kumwambia mzee wa miaka 60 ambaye amestaafu kukaa katika nyumba za wazee na kungoja kutunzwa. Kwa nini tusiwape moyo wazee hawa kwa kuwawezesha kufanya mambo mengine mengi baada ya kustaafu? Wazee wakipangiwa mambo ya kufanya katika maisha ya uzeeni, basi watakuwa na maisha bora. Nilitangulia kusema kuwa wazee ni baraka. Binadamu hustaafu, lakini tumbo halistaafu. Bidhaa zetu ambazo zimechukuliwa hapa Kenya zikaenda nje na ambazo ni za kitamaduni ni vyema zirejeshwe. Hivi vitu vya kitamaduni vinaleta pesa. Niliwahi kwenda Uturuki nikaenda kwenye Makavazi yao. Hayo Makavazi wameweka vitu ambavyo huku kwetu si muhimu sana. Kitu kama kiinu ama jiwe la kusaga. Kule kwao wanachukulia umuhimu wa vile vitu. Wameviweka kwenye nyumba nzuri, makavazi mazuri, ziko kwenye glesi na zinapendeza na watu wengi wanaenda kuangalia zikivutia uchumi. Sasa zile zetu zimechukuliwa huku wakaenda wakazipeleka kule zinawapatia pesa. Ni muhimu nazo zirudi na sisi nasi tuviweke vizuri na zile ambazo tuko nazo hazijaenda nje pia nazo tuziweke vizuri. The Bill seeks to amend the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act to include compensation as a result of death and injury from sharks, stonefish, whale and the stingray, among the wildlife species listed. The Bill promotes equality by providing a remedy for the prevailing discrimination and compensation from attacks by land-based wildlife in exclusion of victims of attacks by marine- based wildlife. The Bill seeks to promote compliance with Article 27 of the Constitution by promoting equality and freedom from discrimination through compensation of all victims of attacks.
