The Forum looks forward to future engagements with the parties involved to address outstanding issues for lasting peace. The Forum also pledged support in efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Republic of Sudan. In the meeting, it was also resolved that Parliaments must be more assertive in addressing the root causes of instability. • 7 Apr 2022 in Senate: objectives of the Peace, Security and Co-operation Framework in order to attain stability and development; (3) Calls for political leaders at national, regional and international level to support mechanisms aimed at resolving conflicts which have adverse global impacts on economies; (4) Calls for commitments from governments at the regional and international actors to work together to reduce the proliferation of small arms and to improve natural resource management to curb the incessant conflicts, and; (5) Calls for ICGLR Member Parliaments to strengthen co-operation in peace building initiatives to address regional conflicts. view
