If you go to any public toilet in this country, get to any matatu or read any newspaper by the media, one thing that will be mentioned is about stealing of public funds, corruption and intimidation. Are the Senators in order to ask the Senate Minority Leader to substantiate his statement when the same Senators themselves cannot substantiate the projects they are talking about? The reason I am supporting it is because it addresses all the issues about natural resources in our country. I am a player in this field. • 11 Mar 2015 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, first of all, let me appreciate the statement you have made and also remind my colleagues that in the Tenth Parliament, I served in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The issues we dealt with turned out to be those who misappropriated public funds are either senile, sick and cannot be pursued or they are dead. The debate will be open if truly this lady will be proved by none other than the Senator for Makueni and Sen. Muthama will stand to supplement him. That is the time that we will actually determine if the lady comes from Makueni County or she does not live there. These are issues that the Chairperson is presenting. • 26 Feb 2015 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I want to agree with Sen. Wangari that for the Statement she is seeking the voice should come through the Chairman of the Committee. Once a Statement is sought, it becomes a property of the House and not of the Committee. She should be given the Statement by the Cabinet Secretary concerned and let it be debated. We will also have an opportunity to participate in that debate. view

In the Order Paper, we have three serious Motions which we need to vote for. It is my sincere request that we do not spend a lot of time debating this Motion which has been debated before. I want to request the Chair, because we have the numbers, we go straight into voting. Those who debated represented the House and they do so, on behalf of those who did not speak. view
